The NSW Outback Division of General Practice (NSW ODGP) is a health service provider working to improve the health of people living in the outback shires of Cobar, Bourke, Brewarrina, and Walgett. NSW ODGP currently has a vacancy for a full time Trainee Aboriginal Allied Health Assistant (AAHA) and is looking for an enthusiastic professional to join the organisation and contribute to our efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in north western NSW. The NSW ODGP manages a variety of health contracts focusing on early intervention, prevention of disease, chronic disease management, mental health care, healthy lifestyle programs and health promotion.
The successful candidate must be an Aboriginal person and willing to undertake the AAHA traineeship, which will take approximately 2 years part time to complete. The candidate will work closely with and be supported by a multidisciplinary team including Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian and Podiatrist.
